Sora Amemiya: It's Kill or Be Killed

For Sora Amemiya, martial arts began as a dream. After spending his childhood and high school years playing baseball, he started training immediately after graduation, inspired by watching his cousin compete in K-1.

Amemiya is drawn to fighters with a strong determination to win, and he carries that same mindset himself.

"As long as I'm in martial arts, I'm absolutely going to become champion."

His first fight came just six months after he began training, and he admits he was "really scared" before stepping into the ring.

Despite suffering fractures to the orbital floors of both eyes during his career, Amemiya continues pushing forward. Standing in the ring he once dreamed about is something he doesn't take for granted.

"It's amazing to be standing in the ring I've always dreamed of and fighting."

When the fight begins, his mentality is simple:

"It's Kill or Be Killed"

His advice to others is just as direct:

"Do what you can only do right now."
